Providing a theological education pathway for Churches of Christ around the world
GCS FUNDING
GCS provides the funds necessary to make a graduate degree feasible for leaders in the church. We attempt to fill any gap between what the student can provide and what the school needs.
GCS STUDENT QUALIFICATIONS
GCS helps leaders in congregations who desire to earn an advanced degree in biblical studies. Applicants must be active in their local congregation. They must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. They must demonstrate fluency in English, both spoken and written. GCS students must possess the ability, perseverance and commitment necessary to complete a graduate degree.

GCS Students must exemplify quality of character, confirmed by their local church and personal mentors. If a student enrolls with GCS, they must identify one individual who will serve as an ongoing spiritual and academic mentor and agrees to check in with GCS staff if that student is unresponsive.
GCS APPLICATION PROCESS
A complete GCS application form includes:
• A recommendation from a local church leader.
• Completed Mentor Agreement Form.
• Proof of a completed bachelor's degree from an accredited school.
• Proof of competency in English.
• Signed Memorandum of Understanding between the student and GCS.

GCS is not a graduate institution. It is an organization that partners with an accredited graduate school associated with churches of Christ to provide funding for students. The GCS student coordinators aid in the application process and provide support to students. In addition to applying to GCS, each student must be accepted to an accredited institution. Currently, all of the GCS students are enrolled at Harding School of Theology (HST). To learn more about HST, visit their website.
